South-facing on to the open courtyard, Heron Cottage is side-by side with Swallow Cottage, ideal if two families wish to holiday together.
There is a comfortable open-plan living room, with two sofas, occasional table, flat-screen TV, a dining table for 4 and a lovely view over the field and down to the river. A small kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster and digital radio.
Heating is provided by Economy 7 storage heater with an extra electric fire available for cooler evenings.
The cupboards are well stocked with crockery, cutlery, saucepans, a cafetiere and glasses. We supply kitchen essentials such as tea towels, oven glove, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, salt and pepper, teabags, sugar and a pint of milk.
Guests have access to a washing machine, tumble drier, ironing board and iron in the separate laundry room.
The bathroom has both a bath and an electric shower over.
The cottage has its own garden overlooking the field, with patio furniture. Barbecue equipment is also available.
There is ample parking and free WiFi internet access.
What a lucky find. Loved the cottage - spacious, comfortable and homey. Beautiful surroundings - so peaceful. Well equipped including all the extras - they make a big difference. Kids love it and the dog was in heaven - I could move in! Over all very thoughtfully done - we have had a lovely week - thank you.
