Well-behaved pets are welcome free of charge. Dogs should be kept under close control around the cottages but may be exercised in the extensive grounds. The dog must never be left alone in the property. Owners must provide the animal with a sleeping basket or blanket as pets are allowed on the clear understanding that in no circumstances may the dog be allowed in bedrooms or on the furniture. It is the responsibility of the owner to prevent the dog from fouling the grounds.

We operate a non-smoking policy in the cottages.

The cottages are available from 16.00 on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 10.00 on the day of departure. All bookings are Saturday-Saturday. These times do not apply to specially arranged off-season breaks. There is ample parking available close to each cottage.

Fishing

Private fishing (salmon, trout and sea trout) is available during the season at extra charge by arrangement. The Dolhaidd Mansion stretch of the Teifi is just 100 yards from the cottages, across the lower field. There is a very productive pool as well as some faster sections and a gentle glide, much of which can be waded depending on the river level. During recent seasons, countless brown trout have been taken while an increasing number of good-size sea trout (sewin) and salmon have been landed here. Night fishing is permitted and has proved to be very productive. You will often be kept company by the resident otter, who catches fish every night and day even if you don’t!

A maximum of 2 rods (permits) are available during the fishing season
(1st April - 17th October) on a weekly basis (£50 per rod per week). These permits should be booked and reserved in advance to avoid disappointment.

In addition, Dolhaidd Mansion Holiday Cottages are ideally situated for the Llandysul Angling Association and the Teifi Trout Association waters - thirty miles of salmon, trout and sea trout fishing on the River Teifi.
